The solid fuel tablets seem a little difficult to light. Maybe I was doing something wrong? I dont know, but I had to hold a lighter to the tablet for around 1 minute to get it to burn.
Once the fuel tablet was burning, it lasted for about 10 minutes. Which was plenty of time to boil some water and cook one pack of noodles.
If you are looking for an inexpensive folding stove - sure why not.
If you can afford a liquid fuel stove, you might want to go that route. The solid fuel tablet put off a chemical smell. I do not know if the fumes from the burning fuel can get into your food. But I would not want to eat off of this thing on a regular basis.
Overall, it would be fine for a lightwieght camping hiking trip.
